Description

Polyester Colour Clips

Polyester Colour Clips are small, pre-dyed pieces of fabric waste generated from the cutting rooms of garment factories that work with 100% polyester materials. These clips are the result of cutting patterns for apparel, home furnishings, or technical textiles. Unlike white clips, they come in a wide array of colors, which dictates their recycling pathway. A key advantage is that they are already colored, eliminating the need for re-dyeing in the final product. This waste is sorted by color and then shredded back into a fibrous state or, more commonly, melted down in an extrusion process to create recycled polyester (rPET) chips. The color of the original clips influences the final shade of the recycled polymer, often leading to darker or heather-toned yarns. These recycled chips are spun into new polyester filaments used for making fabrics for bags, fleece garments, carpets, and non-woven products, providing a vibrant and sustainable recycling solution.
